Meet The Band
Dean Short
Guitars/ Mandolin/ Backing Vocals
My name is Dean Short aka "Sprinkles". I am a Dallas Texas Native born in 1979. I started Playing guitar at 15 years old. My older brother told me I would never play guitar because he didn't want me to do the same thing he was doing, but I couldn't stop playing because it was just in me. He is now one of my biggest supporters. I joined a Metal Band Called Unstained out of Garland Texas, and played with them for about 2 years from 1998-2000. I've led praise and worship for 20 years at Lifewell Church in Downtown Garland Square. I had an amazing opportunity in 2012 to join a band called Revelnation with Brian Patterson (The Wildlands Founder). He and I have played on multiple projects together over the years. The Wildlands has by far been the best project to date and I look forward to many years with this wonderful group of people. Life has been my music teacher and I am truly grateful for It.

Emily Mamone
Bass Guitar/ Violin/ Piano/ Backing Vocals
Hello, my name is Emily Mamone. Music has always been a big part of my life. As a small child I lost part of my hearing due to massive ear infections. After undergoing reconstructive surgeries to both eardrums, I was introduced to piano as part of my rehabilitation. I continued with the piano and also learned the violin. The violin took me all the way into college and brought me from Colorado to University of North Texas, with a focus on orchestral composition. I performed gigs in string quartets and sang in church choirs throughout school and college.
Life took over and I shifted my studies and focus from music to photography. I have had many opportunities to photograph musicians over the past years. After an 18 year hiatus from music and performance it was time for me to get back out there! When I turned 40 I fell in love with the bass guitar and began composing again on the piano. It has been an amazing journey so far. I’ve enjoyed my time learning and performing with some truly talented people. I now have the honor to play the bass guitar, violin and sing backup for The Wildlands Band here in North Texas. In the quiet hours of my life I find myself constantly composing and growing as a musician!
